About

BIO
Colette Lilley is a practicing visual artist based in Liverpool at Arena Studios and Gallery. She moved to the city to after studying at Loughborough University, gaining a Masters in art and design practice, exploring the link between dyslexia and creativity. Her work currently explores the visual and verbal aspects of drawing in relation to drawing as a tool for mindfulness. Colette has exhibited throughout the country, including London’s Independent Artist Fair and have worked on a number of projects, which includes the Tate Modern project From Morning till Night, Katherina Sede. She has also featured on Axis’ Spotlight, as one of five artists to watch during Liverpool’s Biennial and been Art in Liverpool’s artist of the week. Colette also co-founded the studio group 104 Duke Street Studios, the crit group  Liverpool Critique Group. As well as Liverpool’s Artist Network, a platform to connect artists, art organisations, art venues, groups and collectives of Liverpool, and most recently began working with a group of artist to create Art in Windows, which aims to make use of occupied and empty building to exhibit local artists, bring art to the street of Liverpool.
